What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Germany, Heer. A Flak Badge, with Rare Award Document for the Italian Campaign, by Förster & Barth

(Heeres-Flak Abzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central Flak 88 with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of a semi-hollow variation produced by Förster & Barth, Pforzheim, measuring 44.54 mm (w) x 60.05 mm (h), weighing 32.5 grams, with loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition; accompanied by its original award document, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to “GEFREITER ERNST SCHÖRRY” of 4. Batterie, Heeres-Flak-Artillerie-Abteilung 315, issued at Supreme Command of the Army headquarters on 10 June 1944 (with the unit then seeing action at Monte Cassino before retreating north as part of 15. Panzergrenadier-Division) and featuring the handwritten signature of Generalleutnant Wilhelm Weidinger, measuring 148 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), a rare accompaniment to the decoration for actions during a key phase of the Italian Campaign, in near extremely fine condition.
