Germany, Heer. A Krim Shield
(Heer Krimschild). Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates “1941-1942”, affixed with all four attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a field-grey wool liner indicating Heer issues, the reverse retaining a fully-intact black paper liner, unmarked, a striking example in near mint condition.
