A pair of Heer proficiency medals, including one for machine gun personnel, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse bearing a three-man machine gun crew, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR BESONDERE VERDIENSTE 1939” (“FOR EXCEPTIONAL MERIT 1939”), within a circular laurel and oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 39 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition, and; one for field artillery personnel, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse bearing a raised depiction of a soldier with rangefinder equipment alongside a small howitzer, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR BESONDERE VERDIENSTE 1939” (“FOR EXCEPTIONAL MERIT 1939”), within a circular laurel and oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 39 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
