Germany, Heer. A Private Wartime Photo Album
(Wehrmacht Fotoalbum). An interesting private wartime photo album, constructed of a card stock binding with a faux textured leather exterior liner, the spine perforated with four holes through which is looped a drawstring that maintains the album’s structural integrity, the front cover bearing a silvered Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika and inscription of “INFANTERIE-REGIMENT 115”, the interior content consisting of 12 black card stock pages separated by wax paper dividers to mitigate damage to the images, the former consisting of 93 black-and-white photographs supplemented by period postcards and documents, consisting of a pastiche of images of uniformed soldiers of both the First and Second World Wars, with the latter featuring many scenes of personnel in the field with equipment and awards on clear display, unmarked, measuring 23 cm (w) x 30.5 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
