Germany, Heer. An Etched Short Bayonet, by F. W. Holler
(Bajonett). An army etched short bayonet measuring 350 mm, with the scabbard on, featuring a 190 mm nickel-plated steel blade, it is etched with a ribbon banner inscribed "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit" (“In Memory of my Service Period”) and graphics of machine gunners, artillerymen and a tank, the blade’s ricasso is maker marked F.W. Holler Solingen with the company’s thermometer inside an oval insignia, the reverse side of the blade features further etching of artillery and battle scenes in addition to a national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the leather washer remains intact, pommel exhibits wear, the black synthetic grip, while held firmly in place by two rivets, shows minor damage, accompanied by black magnetic metal scabbard, with frog stud and ball finial, the scabbard exhibits contact marks and surface, and in overall fine condition.
