Germany, HJ. A 1943 HJ Golden Clasp of the German Youth Champion
(Goldene nadel des Deutschen Jugendmeisters). In gilded iron (magnetic) with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a round laurel wreath, connected at the bottom by a raised inscription of “DEUTSCHER JUGENDMEISTER” (“GERMAN YOUTH CHAMPION”, with a central red and white enameled HJ insignia bearing a black mobile swastika, flanked by a raised date of “1943” and within a blue enameled field, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 28.82 mm in diameter, weighing 10.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
