A medal bar for First World War and Freikorps service featuring four decorations, including a Kaiser Wilhelm I Centenary Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 39.66 mm in diameter; a Silesian Eagle, II Class, constructed of blackened magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a Silesian-style German national eagle clutching a silvered banner bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR SCHLESIEN” (“FOR SILESIA”), with its chest overlaid by a silvered cross and crescent, unmarked, measuring 31.41 mm (w) x 45.58 mm (h); an Oldenburg Friedrich August Cross, II Class, constructed of blackened magnetic iron, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with its arms joined through the quadrants by a circular laurel leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central monogram of Grand Duke Friedrich August II, the six o’clock arm bearing a date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm bearing a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 39.65 mm (w) x 44.44 mm (h), and; a Merit Cross for War Aid, constructed of zink, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR KRIEGS-HILFSDIENST” (“FOR VOLUNTARY WAR AID”), unmarked, measuring 40.86 mm (w) x 41.04 mm (h); all suspended from a 135 mm-long bronze bar with a beige wool reverse liner and horizontal pinback, unmarked, with slight fatigue evident to the ribbons, in overall extremely fine condition.
