What's a max bid?

A pair of German Shooting Federation (DSB) competition medals, including a 1906 Munich medal, constructed of silver, the obverse with a raised depiction of Odysseus wielding a bow, flanked by a date of “A.D. 1906”, the reverse with a central depressed German State Crown, circumscribed by an inscription of “XV DEUTSCHES BUNDES-SCHIESSEN, MUENCHEN”, the obverse with an unidentified designer’s mark, measuring 37.98 mm in diameter, weighing 30.0 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux camouflage leather exterior, the lid with a gold embossed inscription of “XV DEUTSCHES BUNDES-SCHIESSEN”, the interior with a red satin lid liner and depressed mauve velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 62 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a 1927 Munich medal, constructed of silver, the obverse with a kneeling rifleman, the reverse with a raised central eagle’s head, above an inscription of “MÜNCHEN 1927” and topped by an inscription of “18 DEUTSCHES BUNDESSCHIESSEN”, the obverse with an unidentified maker’s mark, the edge with a maker’s mark of “CARL POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN” and a silver content number of “950”, measuring 40.22 mm in diameter, weighing 28.0 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux camouflage leather exterior, the interior with a red satin lid liner and depressed mauve velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch withe exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 62 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
