An award of the Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer (Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918), by Josef Kopphold of Munich, a bronzed iron (magnetic) cross pattée, swords cross between the arms, the obverse shows a laurel wreath surrounding the dates 1914 and 1918, the reverse smooth and stamped with the maker mark “JK” inside a triangle, for Josef Kopphold, measures 37.50 mm (w) x 43.41 mm (h), on ring through eyelet and suspended from period original ribbon, and in extremely fine condition. Accompanied by the award document, naming the award to the Milk Control Official Alhard von dem Busche of Dorfmark, dated 27 November 1934, signed in black ink by the District Administrator for Fallingbostel, measures 21.1 cm (w) x 14.8 cm (h), shows folding creases and mild discolouration, and in very fine condition.
