What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

The book is constructed of a hard black cardstock with the title embossed on the front cover in gilt lettering and has a glossy removable book cover with a colourized picture of medal. The book contains 94 pages with colourized photographs of medals, orders and ribbons of Imperial Germany and Austria, as well as histories of the different states, kingdoms and duchies and captions. The book measures 185 mm (w) x 242 mm (h). The book cover presents some scuffing and tearing, but the book itself is in extremely fine condition.
