Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, obverse depicts central viking longship sailing over map of the northern hemisphere, within an oval-shaped oak leaf wreath, topped with German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, reverse plain with block hinge and wide banjo-style pinback meeting round wire catch, unmarked but with physical characteristics of manufacture by C.E. Juncker, Berlin, measuring 44.10 mm (w) x 57.09 (h) and weighing 33.3 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
