Germany, Luftwaffe. A Flak Badge, by C.E. Juncker
(Flakkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a hand-filed mobile swastika, around a central Flak 88 with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback, meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “C.E. JUNCKER, BERLIN”, measuring 44.37 mm (w) x 62.74 mm (h), weighing 37.9 grams, the eagle’s right ring has broken off, in very fine condition.
