Germany, Luftwaffe. A Front Flying Clasp for Short Range Day Fighters, Bronze Grade, by G.H. Osang
(Frontflugspange für Jagdverbände in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse consisting of a central winged arrow inside of a round laurel wreath, joined at the bottom by a swastika, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a central rivet holding the obverse arrow in place, with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “G.H. OSANG, DRESDEN”, measuring 77.15 mm (w) x 26.11 mm (h), most of the bronze finish has been lost, in overall near extremely fine condition.
