A group of Luftwaffe Flak/Artillery Oberleutnant rank insignia, including a set collar tabs, each constructed of red wool with buckram cores, trimmed with twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire piping, and bearing hand-embroidered silver aluminum wire insignia, both unmarked and measuring 40 mm (w) x 55 mm (l), with some material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition, and; a set of shoulder boards, each constructed of cardboard-reinforced red wool, bearing four bands of silver aluminum wire piping, and pinned with bronze rank pips, the reverse of each with an integrated wool strap, both unmarked and measuring 35 mm (w) x 100 mm (l), with minor material fatigue evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
Footnote: According to a receipt and newspaper excerpts accompanying the group, the insignia was retrieved from the estate of Leopold Guggenberger, a Luftwaffe veteran attached to the 6th Army on the Eastern Front.
