What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

(Luftwaffe Insignien). A set of Luftwaffe uniform insignia, including a pair of Flight Personnel Oberst shoulder boards, each constructed of cardboard-reinforced golden-yellow wool, bearing four bands of interwoven silver aluminum wire piping, and pinned with two gilded bronze rank pips, the reverse of each with an integrated wool strap, both unmarked and measuring 38 mm (w) x 105 mm (l), in better than very fine condition; accompanied by an assortment of buttons, all constructed of pebbled magnetic metal, including eight large buttons measuring 22 mm in diameter and two small buttons measuring 18 mm in diameter, all maker marked on the reverse with the logo of Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, in overall extremely fine condition.
