Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Germany, Luftwaffe. An Air Communications EM/NCO’s Visor Cap

(Luftwaffe Schirmmütze für Mannschaften der Luftnachrichtentruppe). A well-preserved Luftwaffe Air Communications EM/NCO’s visor cap, constructed of dark grey wool. It features reinforced side walls, fully lined on the exterior with a ribbed black mohair cap band. Both the top and bottom edges of the cap band are trimmed with light brown piping, while an additional band of identical piping surrounds the outer edge of the crown. Pinned onto the peak is an aluminum insignia consisting of a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, measuring 52 mm (w) x 40 mm (h). Pinned onto the centre of the cap band beneath the eagle is an aluminum wreathed cockade, flanked on each side by stylized wings. Measuring 120 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), the insignia retains one of its original two attachment prongs. The cap band is flanked by blackened magnetic metal studs which secure in place a multi-piece black leatherette chinstrap, adjusted with dual functional blackened magnetic metal buttons. Completing the exterior features is a protruding vulcanfibre visor, finished in black on the obverse and in a dark green on the reverse. The interior of the side walls is lined with a brown leather sweatband, perforated across the forehead with ventilation holes, while the interior is also fully encompassed by a light brown rayon liner. The crown retains a transparent plastic moisture guard featuring a hollow slot for the insertion of a name tag. It is unmarked with the exception of a black ink size stamp of “55” on the crown. The cap measures approximately 23.5 cm (w) x 25.5 cm (l) x 15.5 cm (h). Minor issues consistent with age and wear are evident, and include a small spot of mothing to the wool of the crown, the re-attachment of the cockade following the loss of one of its prongs with an outline of its former situation visible, and slight soiling of the interior liner. The cap remains in an overall near extremely fine condition.
