Germany, NSDAP. A Golden Party Badge, Large Version, by Deschler & Sohn

(Goldenes Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP). A well-preserved Golden Party Badge, large version, constructed of gilded tombak with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, with a central black mobile swastika on a white enameled disc, within a red enameled ring bearing an inscription of “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE D.A.P.” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS’ PARTY”), the reverse with a barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, stamped with a NSDAP membership number of “80876” for an unidentified individual, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by Deschler & Sohn, Munich, measuring 30.37 mm in diameter, weighing 13.2 grams, there is a small chip the the outer white enameled ring at the eight o’clock position, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by Detlev Niemann, in overall near extremely fine condition.
