Germany, NSDAP. A Golden Party Badge, Small Version, by Deschler & Sohn
(Goldenes Parteiabzeichen). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central white enameled disc bearing a black mobile swastika, within a red enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE D.A.P.” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS’ PARTY”), in turn surrounding by a narrow white enameled ring, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, stamped with a membership number of “91481” for an unidentified recipient, otherwise unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Deschler & Sohn, Munich, measuring 23.55 mm in diameter, weighing 7.7 grams, with minor flecking and surface scratching visible to the enamels, in near extremely fine condition.
