A NSDAP 10-Year Long Service Award
(NSDAP-Dienstauszeichnung). Constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with replacement length, presenting as a Cross Pattée with sun rays emanating between the arms, obverse with a central NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika within an oak leaf wreath, the reverse inscribed “TREUE FÜR VOLK UND VATERLAND” (“LOYALTY FOR THE FÜHRER AND PEOPLE”), measuring 42.94 mm (w) x 47.05 (h), weighing 30.7 grams inclusive of ribbon, in extremely fine condition.
A NSDAP 15-Year Long Service Award
(NSDAP-Dienstauszeichnung). Constructed of silvered bronze with blue enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with replacement length, presenting as a Cross Pattée with blue enameled arms, with sun rays emanating between the arms, obverse with a central NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika within an oak leaf wreath, the reverse inscribed “TREUE FÜR VOLK UND VATERLAND” (“LOYALTY FOR THE FÜHRER AND PEOPLE”), measuring 42.38 mm (w) x 45.57 mm (h), weighing 39.7 grams inclusive of ribbon, in near extremely fine condition.
A NSDAP 25-Year Long Service Award (NSDAP-Dienstauszeichnung). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with replacement length, presenting as a Cross Pattée with white enameled arms, with sun rays emanating between the arms, obverse with a central NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika within an oak leaf wreath, the reverse inscribed “TREUE FÜR VOLK UND VATERLAND” (“LOYALTY FOR THE FÜHRER AND PEOPLE”), measuring 42.35 mm (w) x 46.46 mm (h), weighing 26.1 grams inclusive of ribbon, in extremely fine condition, accompanied by its original certificate of issue, measuring 210 mm (w) x 297 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
A NSDAP Golden Party Badge by Deschler & Sohn (Goldenes Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP). A very well-preserved example of a NSDAP Golden Party Badge constructed of gilded tombak and multi-coloured enamels. The obverse presents with a central black mobile swastika within a bed of white enamels, with a red enameled edge inscribed “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE D.A.P.” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS’ PARTY”). The reverse presents with a catch for a horizontal pinback and NSDAP member number “13875”. The badge is maker marked on the reverse with “Deschler München”. It measures 24.01 mm in diameter and weighs 8.2 grams. Minor scratching of the enamels is evident, but the badge is in an otherwise extremely fine condition.
A Group of Three NSDAP Membership Booklets
(NSDAP Bücher für Mitglieder). A lot of three NSDAP membership booklets, including:
Waidhas’ initial membership booklet, constructed of a card stock binding with a red exterior liner, the interior retaining all 38 paginated pages, issued 19 April 1927, featuring a handwritten signature of AH, retaining a black-and-white studio portrait of Waidhas, with stamps confirming Waidhas’ party membership dues were paid for the years 1927 through 1932, measuring 104 mm (w) x 135 mm (h), the spine has separated but all pages are intact and included, in overall very fine condition.
Waidhas’ second membership booklet, constructed of a card stock binding with a red exterior liner, the interior retaining all 44 paginated pages, issued 18 October 1933, featuring a handwritten signature of AH, retaining a black-and-white studio portrait of Waidhas, with stamps confirming Waidhas’ party membership dues were paid for the years 1933 through 1945, measuring 105 mm (w) x 135 mm (h), moderate material fatigue evident, in overall better than very fine condition.
A NSDAP membership booklet for Kathinka Ansprenger, NSDAP member 2941453, constructed of a card stock binding with a red exterior liner, the interior retaining all 48 paginated pages, issued 3 January 1938, featuring a handwritten signature AH, retaining and black-and-white studio portrait of Ansprenger, with stamps confirming Ansprenger’s party membership dues were paid for the years 1938 through 1945.
A Sturmabteilung (SA) Membership Card for Karl Waidhas
(Sturmabteilung Mitgliedskarte). Constructed of light grey card stock with multi-coloured ink, with particulars of Karl Waidhas, SA district Oberpfalz (Upper Palatinate), Bavaria, Section 33, Group VII, measuring 135 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), with moderate material fatigue evident, in overall better than very fine condition.
Footnote: Karl Waidhas was born on 9 September 1895 in Weiden, Bavaria. He served in the 13th Infantry Regiment of the German Army during the First World War and, in the interwar period, was awarded decorations by Bulgaria and Hungary for his services. Waidhas joined the NSDAP on 8 August 1925, becoming member number 13875. He was later a recipient of the Golden Party Badge, which was bestowed on 14 April 1934, as well as the NSDAP 25-Year Long Service Cross, which he received on 31 May 1940. During the Second World War, Waidhas was an official with Deutsche Reichsbahn (German National Railways). According to his NSDAP membership booklet, he remained a member in good standing until March 1945.
