Germany, NSKK. A 1933 2,000 Kilometer Drive through Germany Commemorative Medal, with Program, by Robert Neff
(2,000 Kilometer durch Deutschland Erinnerungsmedaille mit Programm). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK) insignia, set around a stylized map of Germany, with the points of stops of the NSKK’s cross-German motor excursion marked, overlaid by an inscription of “2000 KM DURCH DEUTSCHLAND” (“2000 KM THROUGH GERMANY”), above a German Automobile Club insignia, the reverse maker marked “ROB. NEFF, BERLIN”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), with some loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition; accompanied by a matching program, constructed of paper stock with multi-colorued ink and retaining all 63 paginated interior pages, measuring 150 mm (w) x 220 mm (h), with partial detachment of the binding and handwritten numbers scattered throughout, in very fine condition.
