Germany, NSKK. A Motor Corps Enlisted Man’s Side Cap
(NSKK-Feldmütze). An excellent example of a Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Feldmütze, constructed of fine quality black wool exterior, with fold down panels featuring gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and sides, on the left side is a machine embroidered NSKK insignia in silver thread on black embroidery backing (indicating Motorgruppe Niederrhein or Berlin), illustrating an eagle perched on top of a wreath, with a ribbon banner above inscribed “NSKK,” the cap features two vertically oriented silvered aluminum buttons on the front, with maker mark “RZM UE 82 JST” on the reverse, inside of the cap is lined in plain black cotton, with a RZM production tag stamped and numbered “162547,” measures 29 cm (w) x 11 cm (h), well-preserved without signs of mothing or damage, and in extremely fine condition.
