Germany, NSKK. An Invitation to Dr. Porsche and Family to Attend Thanksgiving with Motorstandarte 55
The letter is dated to Stuttgart on September 22, 1938 and addressed to “Corps Member” Dr. Ferdinand Porsche, founder of the famous automobile company. It states that the NSKK Motorstandarte 55 will celebrate the harvest festival (German Thanksgiving equivalent) on October 2, and that Porsche and his family are invited. It is signed in blue ink by the unit leader, Standartenführer Klaus. A handwritten note in red crayon states that Porsche and four family members will attend. Attached is the program of the event. 3 p., measuring 210x295mm, near extremely fine condition with minimal scuffing, folding creases, and a small tear in the upper right corner of the first page.
