What's a max bid?

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A standard portepee, the strap, measuring 30.6 cm in length, constructed of black, double-laid leather with red thread running down the centre, bordered on each side by aluminum stripes, with aluminum stripes on each side approximately 2 mm from the outer edge, the slide is made up of two black interwoven leather bands with a single strand of red and aluminum cord separating the two, the stem is constructed of aluminum cord for the stem, crown, and ball, with an oval dot of black-white-red, and in near mint condition.
