What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

Germany, Ordnungspolizei. A Mint Officer’s Brocade and Buckle, with Case and Aiguillette

(Ordnungspolizei Feldbinde für Offizier mit Schnalle und Etui). The finest example of the type, without exception. An extremely well-preserved Ordnungspolizei Officer’s brocade and buckle, the former constructed of a reinforced Police-green cotton twill base, the exterior overlaid by a silver aluminum wire tresses bearing a subtle machine-embroidered design consisting of alternating double Sig runes and oak leaf clusters, trimmed along both the top and bottom edges with double machine-embroidered black bands, one end of the brocade stitched into a loop for the accommodation of an integral aluminum clip, the opposite end bearing a reverse Police-green leatherette tongue perforated with 13 sets of dual eyelets for a fully adjustable fit, with each end also retaining sliding knots of identical cotton twill and silver aluminum wire construction, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 1310 mm (l), in near mint condition; the buckle constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a clip and loop, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “257/41” for Christian Theodor Dicke, Lüdenscheid, measuring 50 mm in diameter, in near mint condition; accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a two-piece card stock frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior retaining an original wax paper liner, unmarked, measuring 210 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), with minor material fatigue evident, in near extremely fine condition; also accompanied by an Officer’s aiguillette, constructed of multiple rows of twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire, with each end completing in a loop for uniform attachment, unmarked, in near mint condition.
