Constructed of a bronzed zink alloy, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a Wolfsangel rune, set around a mobile swastika, and overlaid by a sword, the reverse with a block hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/100” for Werner Redo, Saarlautern, measuring 47.05 mm (w) x 59.75 mm (h), weighing 24.3 grams, with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
