Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS EM/NCO’s Belt and Buckle, by F.W. Assmann & Söhne
(Waffen-SS Gürtel). A veteran bring back; a Waffen-SS EM/NCO’s belt and buckle, the former constructed of blackened leather, one end with an integrated aluminum clip, the opposite end with a reverse tongue bearing seven rows of dual eyelets, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and illegible manufacturer code, measuring 44 mm (w) x 920 mm (l), accompanied by a buckle, constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised SS-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, on top of a ribbed ring bearing a raised inscription of “MEINE EHRE HEIßT TREUE” (“MY HONOUR IS LOYALTY”), the reverse with a loop and dual attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and manufacturer code “155/39” F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, as well as with the double Sig runes of the SS, measuring 63 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), a large dent is evident to the top of the buckle, along with age-appropriate material fatigue to the belt, in overall very fine condition.
