(SS-Wachbataillon Sachsenhausen Wehrpaß). Constructed of a card stock binding with 54 paginated interior pages lightly filled with handwritten and stamped entries, retaining a certified photo of the bearer, measuring 105 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

Footnote: Paul Franke was born on 15 March 1893 in Hohenstein, Germany, and was a resident of Glauchau when he was conscripted into military service on 15 october 1943. He entered SS-Totenkopf-Wachbataillon service in June 1943, with duties at Sachsenhausen recorded through November 1944. He was promoted to SS-Sturmmann on 26 June 1944, and to SS-Rottenführer on 17 October 1944. Franke survived the war to be taken prisoner by the US 385th Infantry Regiment, with a stamp reflecting Franke’s status as a non-Wehrmacht POW.
