Germany, Third Reich. A 1936 Berlin Olympics Porcelain Eagle Figurine by Fürstenberg
(Porzellan Adler). Constructed of porcelain with paint and gilt, consisting of a German national eagle perched on a pedestal, the obverse with multi-coloured Olympic rings, the reverse with a raised inscription of “OLYMPIADE BERLIN 1936” highlighted in gilt, with a gilt band around the base, the reverse marked “FÜRSTENBERG” with a number “30”, measuring 88 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), a small scuff is evident to the top right of the eagle’s head, with some flecking of the finish visible to its shoulder, in overall near extremely fine condition.
