(AH: Bilder aus dem Leben des Führers). A 1936 edition of “AH: Bilder aus dem Leben des Führers” (“AH: Photographs from the Life of the Führer”), constructed of a heavy card stock binding with a faux orange leather exterior liner. The exterior of the cover bears a title consisting of the Führer’s name in gilded Fraktur script. The interior consisting of white paper stock pages, 133 of which are paginated and feature black ink text in Fraktur script. Pasted throughout are 197 glossed black-and-white photographs depicting AH at various events during the early years of his administration. In addition, there are five glossed photographs depicting paintings and sketches by AH created during and immediately before the First World War. Approximately the final third of the book consists of plain white paper stock pages. Notably, the first seven pages consists of an English-language index providing captions for the images in black ink typewritten script. The book was published in 1936 by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst Altona-Bahrenfeld, with most of the images originally taken by Heinrich Hoffmann, the official photographer of AH and the NSDAP. It measures 225 mm (w) x 290 mm (h). Material fatigue is evident throughout, and includes scratching and loss of gilt to the exterior, with some discolouration of the interior pages and loosening of photographs. The book is in an overall better than very fine condition.
