Constructed of neusilber, the cover bearing a central ribbed oval overlaid by an engraved monogram, surrounded by arabesque and vegetal designs, with the lower right corner bearing an enameled ski competition participant’s insignia, the reverse bearing engraved Olympic rings above a German national eagle, flanked by dates “6.-16. 2. 1936” and circumscribed by an inscription of “IV. OLYMPISCHE WINTERSPIELE GARMISCH-PATERNKIRCHEN”, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release, the interior with two elasticzied bands to secure the contents in place, marked “ALPACCA” indicating neusilber construction, measuring 80 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), in extremely fine condition,
