Germany, Third Reich. A 1937 Stuttgart Day of Germans Abroad Badge, by Fritz Zimmermann

Constructed of blackened zink, he obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by an Auslandsdeutsche (Germans Abroad) insignia, topped by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, around an inscription of “V. REICHSTAGUNG DER AUSLANDSDEUTSCHEN - STUTTGART 1937” (“5th NATIONAL DAY OF GERMANS ABROAD - STUTTGART 1937”), the reverse with a vertical pinback, maker marked “FR. ZIMMERMANN, STUTTGART”, measuring 32 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), with minor oxidation and loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
