Germany, Third Reich. A 1944 Small Calibre Tyrol Shooting Badge, by Carl Poellath
(Kleinkaliber Schützenabzeichen). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing a red enameled Tyrol-style German national eagle clutching a target overlaid by a mobile swastika, flanked by a date of “1943”, above an inscription of “KK-GEWEHR”, the reverse maker marked “C. POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN”, measuring 40 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
