An Allied Soldier picked up this flag and added on German insignia, eventually sewing and attaching eighty-seven German Second War period embroidered and printed insignia, including twenty-five various shoulder boards, rank insignia, collar patches, breast eagles, medal ribbons, Naval trade badges, and cap insignia, all of which have now been removed.
