Germany, Third Reich. A Lot of Medals and Badges
(Drittes Reich Abzeichen). A lot of medals and badges, including a SA Sports Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a sword and mobile swastika, the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, the reverse marked “BERNSBACH/SA”, with an issue number of “917359”, measuring 46.62 mm (w) x 58.36 mm (h), weighing 18.3 grams, in extremely fine condition; a Sudetenland Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, above a NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a central date of “1. OKTOBER 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), unmarked, measuring 32.12 mm in diameter, in very fine condition, and; a Wound Badge, Black Grade, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 37.28 mm (w) x 44.70 mm (h), weighing 11.8 grams, some oxidation and loss of paint evident, in overall near very fine condition.
