A group of three Third Reich period badges, including an Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, with a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika on the top and a bowtie on the bottom, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k with the bayonet attached to the front of the barrel and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, measuring 47.10 mm (w) x 61.35 mm (h), weighing 24.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
A General Assault Badge, constructed of zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak wreath, with a central Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42.73 mm (w) x 53.34 mm (h), weighing 23.4 grams, in extremely fine condition.
A DRL Sports Badge in Bronze, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath tied at the bottom with a bowtie ribbon, with central stylized initials of “DRL”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire cach, maker marked “H. WERNSTEIN, JENA-LÖBSTEDT”, measuring 38.98 mm (w) x 48.59 mm (h), weighing 17.5 grams, in extremely fine condition.
