What's a max bid?

Germany, Third Reich. A Mint Order of the German Eagle, IV Class Cross, by Gebrüder Godet

(Verdienstorden vom Deutschen Adler, Kreuz IV. Klasse). Instituted 1 May 1937. (1943-1945 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with white enameled arms joined together through the quadrants by gilded NSDAP-style German national eagles clutching wreathed mobile swastikas on white enameled discs, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a rounded catch, the pinback stamped with a silver content number of “900” and Präsidialkanzlei code “21” indicating manufacture by Gebrüder Godet, Berlin, measuring 49.08 mm (w) x 49.23 mm (h), weighing 28.5 grams, demonstrating slight flecking to the enamels, a striking example in near mint condition.
