Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Buttons and Insignia
(Knöpfe und Insignien). A large mixed lot consisting of 106 uniform buttons, of various sizes and with examples constructed of magnetic metal, bronze, and zink, most finished in gilt and some with a silvered finish, reflecting an array of Wehrmacht branches, most bearing reverse makers’ marks, with a majority manufactured by Overhoff & Cie., Lüdenscheid, or F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, accompanied by 13 ranks pips of various sizes and constructions, three shoulder board cyphers, and 28 loops, some demonstrating wear or loss of finish consistent with age and use, in overall better than very fine condition.
