Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Enlisted Personnel Belt Buckles
(Gürtelschnallen). A pair of Enlisted personnel belt buckles, including a Luftwaffe buckle, constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a central raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika over a pebbled background, within an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 49 mm (h), with oxidation and loss of finish evident, in very fine condition, and; a HJ buckle, constructed of nickel-plated magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a central raised German national eagle clutching a HJ insignia, set within a circular ribbon ring bearing a raised inscription of “BLUT UND EHRE” (“BLOOD AND HONOUR”), the reverse with swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), the reverse is missing its looped bar and minor oxidation is evident, in very fine condition.
