Germany, RLB. An Air Defence League (RLB) Air Protection Medal, II Class, (Reichsluftschutzbund Leistungsabzeichen). A circular medal constructed of silvered zinc, the obverse bears a central mobile swastika circumscribed with “FÜR VERDIENST IM LUFTSCHUTZ” (FOR SERVICE IN AIR PROTECTION), encompassed by a wreath of oak leaves, the reverse bears the date “1938” on pebbled background, encompassed by a wreath of oak leaves, with loop for suspension, measuring 38.55 mm (w) x 42.68 mm (h); Germany, Wehrmacht. A War Merit Cross, II Class, (Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse) A Maltese cross paty constructed of bronzed zinc, the arms of the cross are pebbled, the obverse bears a central mobile swastika encompassed by a wreath, the reverse centre bears the date “1939” encompassed by a wreath, with loop for suspension, measuring 48.26 mm (w) x 48.49 mm (h), very fine; A Uniform Ribbon Pair, An RLB Air Protection Medal ribbon and a War Merit Cross ribbon, would be sewn into the buttonhole of ones tunic, measuring 91 mm (w) x 31 mm (h), very fine.
