Hardcover, white cloth cover, with an illustration of the German Order on the front cover, entitled "Orders, Decorations, Medals and Badges of the Third Reich (Including the Free City of Danzig)", by David Littlejohn, M.A., A.L.A. and Colonel C.M. Dodkins, C.B.E., D.S.O., assisted by Roger James Bender, copyrighted in 1968 by the two authors, Sixth Printing in April 1977, printed in the United States of America, published by R. James Bender Publishing of San Jose, California. It begins with a Table of Contents, followed by an Introduction. The book contains seventeen sections: 1 - Orders, Decorations and Medals, 1933-1939; 2 - Non-Portable Civil Awards; 3 - Awards of the N.S.D.A.P.; 4 - Sports Badge (Adult); 5 - Youth Badges; 6 - Spanish Civil War, 1936-1938; 7 - Orders, Decorations and Medals, 1939-1945; 8 - Commemorative Cuff Titles and War Badges (All Services); 9 - Shield Badges; 10 - War Badges (Army & Waffen S.S.); 11 - War Badges (Navy); 12 - Flying and War Badges of the Luftwaffe; 13 - Non-Portable Awards of the Luftwaffe; 14 - German Awards to Foreign Auxiliaries; 15 - Industrial Awards; 16 - Miscellaneous Awards; 17 - Free City of Danzig Awards. It concludes with a three page Appendix, and a four page Medal Ribbon Chart. The book contains 232 pages of detailed text, line drawings and photographs, printed in black ink, with colour plates illustrating the ribbons of the awards on pages 227-230, on a coated white paper stock, measuring 152 mm (w) x 230 mm (h) x 18.5 mm (d). It exhibits light scuffing and soiling on the cover and on the endpapers on both the inside front and back covers, with tape residue present on the front and back inside covers, discoloration present on the edges of the pages, along with a red smudge on page 19, however, the pages within remain pristine. Very fine.
