What's a max bid?

(Medaillen). A pair of medals, including a 1939 Iron Cross, II Class (1939 Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse), a cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver border, the obverse with a raised central mobile swastika with the re-institution date 1939 in raised numbering on the lower arm, the reverse with an initial institution date of 1813 on the lower arm, marked with PKZ number 55 on suspension loop for maker J.E. Hammer & Söhne, measuring 44.03 mm (w) x 44.26 mm (h), weighing 16.9 grams, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, and in near very fine condition. A War Merit Cross, II Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern), a Maltese cross in bronze, the obverse with crossed swords between the arms of the cross and a circular raised border of oak leaves on the obverse with a raised mobile swastika in the center, the reverse presents a circular raised border of oak leaves bearing the institution date 1939 in raised numbering, presenting the LDO number L15 for Otto Schickle, on the suspension loop, measuring 48.42 mm (w) x 49.76 mm (h), weighing 21.4 grams, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in very fine condition.
