What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

A grouping of three third reich period German medals, awards, and decorations, consisting of 1) A War Merit Cross Second Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern); a Maltese cross in bronze metal alloy; on loop for suspension (unmarked); with a correct replacement ribbon; the obverse with crossed swords between the arms of the cross and a circular raised border of oak leaves on the obverse with a raised mobile swastika in the center; the reverse with a circular raised border of oak leaves bearing the institution date “1939” in raised numbering; measuring 47.73 mm (w) x 47.10 mm (h); weighing 21.8 grams. 2) A Commemorative Winter Campaign medal (Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42 Medaille) in silvered and patinated zink; with a large national eagle on the obverse clutching a swastika (“Hakenkreuz”) and a leftward facing Stahlhelm on the top with horizontally oriented stick grenade; the reverse “Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42” (Winter Battle in the East 1941/42) in all capital letters with a crossed sword and laurel wreath on the bottom; on a loop for suspension (unmarked); measuring 35.92 mm (w) x 44.67 mm (h); weighing 19.9 grams. 3) A First War Period “For the Fatherland” Commemorative Medal; in bronze; the obverse depicting a triumphant soldier being crowned by a Godess; the reverse depicting an Iron Cross 1914, circumscribed by “Für’s Vaterland”; on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon; measuring 32.48 mm in diameter; weighing 16.2 grams; in overall very fine condition.
