Constructed of patinated feinkzink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a plaque bearing a raised number “50”, overlaid by a Heer-style eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, marked with the logo of maker Josef Feix & Söhne, Gablonz, measuring 48.08 mm (w) x 57.98 mm (h), weighing 30.8 grams, in extremely fine condition
