(Auszeichnungen und Insignien). A mixed lot of seven decorations and insignia, including:

1. A War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and overlaid by a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR KRIEGS-VERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.23 mm in diameter, weighing 12.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.

2. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 37.02 mm (w) x 44.32 mm (h), weighing 11.4 grams, demonstrating minor loss of finish with consequent surface oxidation, in very fine condition.

3. A Civil Service 25-Year Faithful Service Award, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original bow tie-style ribbon indicating female issue, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central black enameled swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.87 mm (w) x 45.97 mm (h), weighing 21.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), demonstrating sporadic loss of finish, in very fine condition.

4. A Heer Gebirgsjäger EM/NCO’s sleeve insignia, constructed of field-grey wool, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered multi-coloured edelweiss, situated within a knotted silver-grey border topped by piton, unmarked, measuring 55 mm (w) x 65 mm (h), in unissued and near mint condition.

5. A Kriegsmarine EM/NCO’s tropical breast eagle, constructed of light brown rayon, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered golden-brown Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 130 mm (w) x 58 mm (h), in unissued and near mint condition.

6. A Luftwaffe Flak personnel sleeve badge, constructed of dark grey wool, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey insignia, unmarked, measuring 90 mm (w) x 65 mm (h), demonstrating some soiling, in very fine condition.

7. A Luftwaffe Flight Personnel Unteroffizier collar tab, constructed of golden-brown wool with a buckram core, the obverse trimmed along the outer edges with a silver aluminum wire tresse and pinned with a single silvered zink gull, unmarked, measuring 36 mm (w) x 55 mm (l), demonstrating soiling and fatigue throughout, in uniform-removed and fair condition.
