An Imperial Black or Silver Grade Badge, constructed of patinated bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around a central raised Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords over a cut-out void, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38.24 mm (w) x 42.90 mm (h), weighing 8.3 grams, demonstrating loss of finish throughout, in very fine condition.
2. A Wehrmacht first pattern Black Grade Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath with cut-out edges, around a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.67 mm (w) x 42.48 mm (h), weighing 6.3 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of finish and surface oxidation, in very fine condition.
3. A Wehrmacht second pattern Black Grade Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “93” for Richard Simm & Söhne, Gablonz, measuring 37.65 mm (w) x 44.92 mm (h), weighing 13.2 grams, demonstrating minor surface oxidation, in better than very fine condition.
