Germany, Wehrmacht. A Pair of Enlisted Personnel Belt Buckles
(Wehrmacht Gürtelschnallen). A pair of Wehrmacht Enlisted personnel belt buckles, including a Heer buckle, constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws retaining a period original brown leather strap, the latter maker marked “B. HAARMANN, LÜDENSCHEID” and dated “1941”, the buckle measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a Luftwaffe buckle, constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within an oval laurel leaf wreath joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws retaining a period original brown leather strap, both the strap and buckle maker marked with the logos of Sohni, Heubach & Co., Oberstein, the buckle measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
