A II Class Cross, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “1” for Descher & Sohn, Munich, measuring 48.79 mm (w) x 49.06 mm (h), weighing 18.5 grams, accompanied by its original package of issue, constructed of brown paper stock, the exterior bearing an inscription of “KRIEGS-VERDIENSTKREUZ 2. KLASSE OHNE SCHWERTER” and a maker’s mark of “DESCHLER & SOHN, MÜNCHEN”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 105 mm (h) and retaining an original wax paper liner, in near mint condition.
2. A I Class Cross, constructed of silvered tombak, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms and bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, the pinback maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “1” for Deschler & Sohn, Munich, measuring 48.60 mm (w) x 48.36 mm (h), weighing 17.6 grams, accompanied by an original wax paper liner, in near mint condition.
