Germany, Wehrmacht. A Pair of Visor Cap Insignia
(Wehrmacht Mützenabzeichen). A pair of Wehrmacht visor cap insignia, including:
1. A Heer EM/NCO’s visor cap cockade, constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a central tri-colour cockade with a red wool centrepiece, situated within an oak leaf wreath, the reverse marked “3”, measuring 62 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), missing all three of its reverse attachment prongs, in very fine condition.
2. A Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s visor cap cockade, constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a central tri-colour cockade, situated within an oak leaf wreath, in turn flanked on each side by stylized wings, the reverse with both set of butterfly-style attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 140 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
