Constructed of silvered zink; the obverse with a national eagle and a bayonet and hand grenade in the centerpiece, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides, and with four oak leaves and two acorns on each side; the reverse plain, with a square magnetic backing plate; horizontal fluted sheet metal pin, with a barrel hinge and a flat wire catch on a round base; marked with the traditional “C.F. Juncker, Berlin” maker mark for this type; measuring 96.51 mm (w) x 25.55 mm (h); weighing 25.7 grams; in overall better than very fine condition.
