Constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.53 mm (w) x 44.15 mm (h), weighing 31.5 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a white satin-type lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a replacement slotted cardboard medal bed, opening with a functional magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional magnetic metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 65 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), in overall better than very fine condition.
